Right angle supports are small paper or cardboard supports that can be taped or glued into the corners of buildings, or other internal right angles, to ensure they maintain that right angle shape. Putting one in each inside corner of a building section can help prevent diamonding.

Building[edit | edit source]

Supports should be made of heavy cardstock (~1" sides) or cardboard (2" sides or greater). They start out as a "plus" shape, with all sides of the same length. The sides of the inner square, as well as one of it's diagonals, should be lightly scored. Then the shape should be folded along the diagonal, then along each scored section of the inner square. to produce the final shape.

To keep it's shape, the inner faces of the triangular section should be glued together. (Gorilla Glue Dots are an excellent choice if folding these up at a con). Optionally, the flaps on either side can be taped together as well. The flaps of the support can then be taped or glued into the corner where needed.
